LIFELINES

LifeLines is a portfolio of 23 platinum prints comprised of self portraits and images of transformation in Nature. The visual counterpoint between these photographs creates a narrative, subtle in its poetic lyricism and spiritual insight.

Exploring fundamental elements that deeply affect us – the passage of time, emotion, denial, connection and renewal – the images are at once universal and intensely personal. Capturing the unavoidable evidence of aging in ourselves and in the world around us, LifeLines offers a symbolic journey through life’s inevitable cycles.

Although there is an emphasis on the impermanence and fragility of life in LifeLines, this body of work is more importantly a celebration of maturity and the gaining of wisdom. It represents the process of achieving perfect balance, a harmony between self and the natural environment that brings an ultimate acceptance of destiny.
